چکیده
Laparoscopic repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernias can be done in suitable infants and children with good long-term results. The benefits includes lower risk infection, less intra-abdominal adhesions early recovery, while being a «scar-less» procedure. Materials methods. 3 patients included 9-months-old infant late presentation Bochdalek left hernia, 2 Morgagni hernia - 1-year-old 3-year-old toddler. All procedures were performed abdominal approach using 3- 5-mm ports, 30 degrees camera. Suturing the defect was unabsorbed materials (Ethibond® 4.0). Results. No intra-operative complications noted, all recovered quickly uneventfully, discharged between 3-6 postoperative day. Follow-up period is now 3-23 months so far there no evidence recurrence. Conclusions. surgery used more smaller cavities by pediatric surgeons. toddlers safely peripheral hospitals skilled surgeons However, our follow-up relatively short, because common recurrence rate those patients, 15-40% different reports, both laparoscopic open repair, long term required. research carried out accordance principles Helsinki declaration. informed consent patient obtained for conducting studies. conflict interests declared authors. A Comparative Analysis between Right and Left Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernias
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a rare congenital anomaly of the diaphragm with an incidence of 1:2000-5000 of live births. This study retrospectively evaluated patients who had been operated on for CDH at our department of Pediatric Surgery between January 2013 and December 2016. The Demographic Data and outcomes of right CDH cases (Group 1) were compared with left CDH cases (Group 2).

● Epidemiology ● Esophageal atresia occurs in about 2.4 of every 10,000 live births, with a slight preponderance in males and children of older or diabetic mothers. Esophageal duplication cysts account for 10 to 15 percent of all foregut duplication cysts and only 5 to 10 percent of all mediastinal cysts. Congenital esophageal stenosis occurs in between 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 live births. Bochda...
متن کاملTolazoline in the treatment of congenital diaphragmatic hernias.
SUMMARY Four babies with congenital diaphragmatic hernias each developed a state of transitional circulation. Tolazoline was successfully used to lower the pulmonary vascular resistance and to treat this normally fatal postoperative complication. Some children born with posterolateral (Bochdalek) diaphragmatic hernias, after an initially satisfactory postoperative recovery, develop persistent h...

INTRODUCTION Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is a major malformation occasionally found in newborns and babies. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is defined by the presence of an orifice in the diaphragm, more often to the left and posterolateral, that permits the herniation of abdominal contents into the thorax. The aim of this case series is to provide information on the presentation, diagnosis...
متن کاملThoracoscopic repair of recurrent bochdalek diaphragmatic hernias in children.
BACKGROUND Recurrent herniation is a well-known complication following the initial repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernias (CDHs). The role of minimally invasive surgical techniques in recurrent CDH remains undefined. The purpose of this study was to evaluate our early experience with thoracoscopic repair compared with traditional open repair in children with recurrent CDH. SUBJECTS AND ME...
